May 13, 2015, 11:30 AM – “Pigs out of the blanket” breakfast

Good morning all!

Upon the request of my brother, I made green tea chocolate chip pancakes today! He bought this Matcha Green Tea powder from Amazon, which he has been using to make himself delicious lattes. So, we decided to use it to make pancakes!

The pancakes turned out pretty good! I added honey, since the matcha is a bit bitter. The pancake itself has a nice hint of green tea flavor, and the chocolate chips really gave it that delicious pancake house taste. I used the Market Pantry brand pancake mix from Target. It’s super fluffy but slightly chewy, but overall delicious!

My brother also cooked some bacon and sausage, but I had half a link of Evergood Pineapple Sausage. Such a good breakfast, filling and tasty!

Today’s breakfast:

  • 1/2 link of Evergood Pineapple Sausage – 170 cal
  • 1 Matcha Green Tea and Chocolate Chip Pancake – ~120 cal

Total calories equal about 290 cal. And that’s the “Pigs out of the blanket” breakfast!

Happy eating!
